as above i can get hold of some h&r springs but they are off the estate and mine is saloon>?

According to what I've foound via google (so bear that in mind)

 

H&R only seem to only do one set of springs for the 4x4 mk.4 platform

Which from the the adverts I found so far, allegedy fit Golfs, Boras and Octavia's, estate, saloon and hatch

 

I'd ask someone like DPM to comfirm this

So they dont account for the extra 3ft of metal hanging over the rear end of the octy

Would imgine the estate is heavier than saloon so would think they would be ok if they fit the estate, doing it the other way round might be an issue though

Maybe they took the heaviest model out of the potential 14  models (? -  4 types of golf, 4 types of bora, 4 types of Octavia, 2 types of Leon)

 

- the adverts use the term "all Motorisations" ie all models eg diesels too ?

 

Might be really quite stiff if they've been set to work on an diesel estate
