Will this fit? 17", offset 28 with 215/40 tyres

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've found a good deal on the net: rare polished audi rims in 17" :D

However, offset is 48 and pcd is 5x112 which means I need an adaptor to mount them under my octavia. Minimum thickness of such an adaptor is 20mm so I would end up with an offset of 28.

Default offset of an octavia is 35 so my rims would stick out 7mm more then normal. Would this be a problem? tyres are 215/40 and I'm planning on lowering my octavia about 50mm

They are currently mounted on a VW bora with adaptors of 30mm in the rear and the guy doesn't have a problem but I think the wheel arches of a bora are wider then a octavia...

What to do?

Thanks

Berre

I know someone who had polished Audi A8 rims (18") on his Bora with 5 x 112 adaptors. He had no rubbing problems, I think the Octy should be the same.

How wide are the wheels? If 8" then they will stick out to far.

Also 40 profile tyres on 17's maybe to low and will have a negative effect on ride quality as well as putting the speedo out and not filling the arches as well as standard.
