1.4 mpi nearside front bulb replacements

Featured Replies

Have just changed a front O/S bulb without any problem but looked at N/S for future reference and immediately saw that there is no room to get at the headlight unit .

Looked through various threads in this forum and apparently removal of the front side of the battery holder is recommended but couldn't find any detailed instructions.

From what I can see, the battery holder on my car does not have removable sides so am wondering if it has had a replacement non standard holder fitted during previous ownership.

Can anybody please advise as to whether or not it is the correct holder for this model and, if so, how do I remove all or part of it to get at the bulbs.

Photos attached.

Many thanks.

Disappointing response...or lack of...but never mind, I think I've got it sorted. On closer inspection of the battery box I have found that the front side has some brackets which, presumably, if depressed or whatever, will allow it to be lifted up and out. Haven't actually tried it out but pretty sure it's the way to access the rear of the light unit.

Hi John & sorry didn't see your post.

The top of the battery cover is released from the left & the front panel is secured by 3 lugs located along the top edge. Unclip these & the front panel slides out giving just enough room to access. The felicia's tend to be a little easier. ;)
