Alarm Sensitivity

Featured Replies

Hi

I hope this isn't a daft question........but is is feasible that a small fly crawling about on the back window can set off the alarm?

The alarm siren has just gone off for the first time, twice in succession & having investigated possible cause after the second time I found the fly!

The other strange thing is that when I left the dog in the car the other day, I forgot to press the button on the door pillar to disarm the interior motion sensor & returned to the car within 5 minutes, realising what I'd done, to find the lights flashing but no siren.......is there a reason the dog should get different reaction to the fly??? .....I think I need to read the manual again!

siren stops after a couple of loops, lights keep going for quite some time.

quite possible it was a fly

I have had both my yetis sensitivity turned down by the dealer, the first one had a habit of going off in the small hours, so had it turned down.  My second one was turned down at PDI,  they are set to high from the factory, had mine turned down to medium and never had a problem since

Mine has been going like buggery when I left a gap in the windows, and sunroof  during the heatwave !!! Had to shut the bloody windows in the end. Then sometimes they would shut themselves when it was really warm and dry.....and when it was peeing down the sodding windows stayed down when they should have shut themselves and I had puddles on my seats ffs !!!

Closing the vents or setting on recirculation when parked can cause issues.

We've had a money spider set ours off by flicking in front of the sensors in the roof panel
