Hi all,

I've decided to join Briskoda, after lurking for awhile... researching the merits of Citigo ownership.

SWMBO & I have ordered a (beautiful) Tornado Red 5dr Green Tech 75hp Elegance. Plumped for Convennience, Safety and Entertainment Packs....(plus spare wheel option). Had wanted the "variable cargo area concept", but the dealer said it would be an additional 4-8 weeks.....and could be ordered with spare wheel!

Very impressed with all the useful information about mudflaps, spare wheel, split boot advice/info.

Thanks......

Nice car, I have ordered the same model and had wanted red, but could not stomach waiting 12 weeks as there were no reds available on the system.  Therefore plumped for silver (had a choice of silver, black or yellow) available in 2 to 3 weeks.  I am getting the spare wheel, but no other options as none of them struck me as being worth again having to wait 12 weeks.

Welcome

Great choice of colour ;)

Enjoy the new car

Cheers

Damo

Indeed - welcome to Briskoda. Nice to see a new Freedom member here for the long haul straightaway (took me ages  )

I believe the variable boot floor can be retro-fitted quite easily by screwing the holding brackets into the boot with pre-prepared holes already on your car. Simple job, and someone did a guide for it on here somewhere.

we are waiting on almost the same spec and colour have had it on order since 2nd april, delivery hopefully 1st September

did you add the extended warranty as well?

did you add the extended warranty as well?

For what the extended warranty costs, I think it's a no brainer!

The citigo/up/mii is almost a totally new car, brand new engine and gearbox etc, which means we are all acting as guinea pigs in a way.

Other models across the VAG group share common components that have been developed and improved over a long time.

When we bought the Yeti we made a conscious decision not to take the extended warranty, with the citigo we did the opposite....

Going down the PCP route (renting).......so only keeping it 3 years. Perhaps then we'll have LPG or vRS versions available!

based my decision that the world will run out of oil before I manage to run a '99 C200 Merc Espirit into the ground.....

thirsty beast £80 a fillup.... @28mpg. Figured that saving on insurance, road tax, repairs! will save £10-20 a month after the monthly PCP payment. (Providing I squeeze 55-60mpg from the Citigo).

Bluecar1... wow, you have some patience. I think we put the order in mid-June.
