Felicia/Fabia

Featured Replies

I just wonder if any of you realise that the name Felicia could so easily still be alive and well.  Back in 2000 I went to trade my 1997 Felica 1.3GLi for the newly released Fabia.  In the end I opted for a pre-reg and heavily discounted Felicia Estate instead.  However the Skoda salesman whom I knew well, showed me a Skoda press release from the time they had face lifted the Felica showing both the new FL felica and what was now selling as the Fabia as the upcoming Felicia Mk2.  In the end I never did buy a Fabia as my next car after the Felicia estate was my Mk 1 Octavia 1.6LX.  After I got married the bigger cars kind of became the family car driven by hubby and I moved to Hyundai as I always felt that the Fabia was rather old personny looking.  Stupid I know as it is almost certainly a better car that the Getz.

Well, I didn't know that.

OT for section, but based on my friend's Daewoo Matiz, a pair of Rollerblades may be a better "car" than a Getz!! I mean, a car that felt overloaded with 2 normal adults in it, not least because she and I had no option over rubbing shoulders in the Matiz!

The felicia name isn't new either, they used it donkeys years ago on a 1960's model as well as the octavia name on another model
