Hi to one & all - I'm currently driving a Honda Insight ( Hybrid ) which, although having a full Honda service history and having travelled only 29000 miles, has badly failed me by needing a new transmission . The cost ? Initially £10,000, but on appeal ( grovelling), Honda reduced my bill to only (!?) £3000 !

Consequently, having collected my repaired car I drove directly to my local Skoda dealership & ordered a new Octavia Elegance 1.6 tdi DSG, putting the Honda in as part ex.

I'd done my research on the Skoda, the only downside being the 3 month wait before taking delivery !

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting my new wheels, and taking advantage of all the information on this site.

Kind regards to all, JKW ( Staffordshire )

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Im sure the wait will be worth it once you have it on your drive :)

Nice of Honda to knock £7k off your bill - think they were trying to have your pants down on that one im afraid.

Congrats on your new purchase, head over to the relevant forum for a wealth of info.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome.
