glow plug light + limp mode

Featured Replies

hey all,

whilst driving home from crew yesterday the car all of a sudden cut off the cruise control, went into limp mode and the glow plug light was flashing constantly.

We stopped for 10 minutes. Re started the engine and it didnt come back for the remaining 122 miles back home. Driven the car today and doesnt come back on.

Been to a garage which has scanned the car and there are no EGR errors but a seat belt error came up. Cleared the error and it didnt re-appear.

For now im just going to carry on as normal but has anyone else had similar?

Unusual for a code not to be stored in the ecu - was it a decent scanner that was used ?

i believe so yea. The garage I use doesn't seem to use rubbish tools etc

My car did this regularly when I first bought it. Took it to Jewson Skoda and it turned out to be a fault with the part (excuse my terminology) that turns an electrical signal into a mechanical one in the gas pedal. All fixed under warranty. Couldn't tell you about fault codes though
