2009 Superb 2.0 SE TDI170 105,000 miles, a good deal or better to be found?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Looking to get a bigger car than our 2008 Volvo S40 2.0D SE LUX and came across a 2009 Superb SE with 105,000 miles for just under £8,000

Ad says it's had a new cambelt, is this a good deal or are there better examples to be found (flexible budget)?

How do Superbs handle high mileage?

Thanks,

D

Done 100k in mine and it still feels like new.

170 DSG elegance.

Judging by the 'as new' rear and passenger seats, the hands-free kit and branded front tyres its looks very much to me an ex-company car so likely to be all motorway mileage.

105,000 miles is nothing for a regularly serviced CR170.

It has the optional 18" Luna alloys on too which is rare for an SE.

Thanks, I shall go and take a closer look.

Also has the optional sound system. 10 speakers plus an amp. Sounds 100% better than standard system and was a £900 ish option I think!

Good spot - I had to take another look to notice the extra speakers on the doors!

Didn't realise the SE was so well specced, looks worth a second look for sure.

Vetoed by SWMBO for now, going to look for an L&K spec later in the year.

On the keyless option with driver's memory seat does the seat automatically adjust to whichever key is used to unlock the car?

That's quite a few price brackets further up the chain!

A leggy 2009 £8K SE to a nearly new L&K? The cheapest L&K on Autotrader right now is £26K!

Not expecting to spend £8K, might go new for the right deal.

Leggy to me is over 150k

105k is the new 50k

Nice looking car - also had the headlight washer covers colour coded, mine are silver/chrome.

Looks nice with the Luna's.

Would agree it was probably a ex-company car, well looked after and maintained at no expense.

I was passing by and took a peek. It's got four near practically new tyres on it.

Condition looks good overall, discs are bit worn.

Still vetoed.

I quite like that!!

My tdi170 has done 210000. Pulls fine no problems apart from the DPF.

If your doing short journeys get it removed when it plays up and a re-map to save reoccurring heartache ... Just get a good trusted re-map company to do the work and don't cut corners for cost. My map was cheap... And needs doing again...
