I have rang around a few places and no one does a quick shift the closest I have have come is psi tuning. said they can customise my original one in to a quick shift for £95 and it takes 2hrs. only thing is if I don't like it. It can't be change back so is there anyone who sells them

No, not for the diesels unfortunately. As a result some people do the DIY short shifter mod. Use a pipe cutter and remove an inch or so off the end of your gear stick

Which is also obviously irreversible.

 

They do make them for my car though Hmmm.

at the risk of sounding 'a bit fick', what's the benefit? The record braking Octy I saw had a bloody long gearstick, as do most rally cars :think:

Supposedly shorter shift times, but it's going to make naff all difference in a road car to be honest.

I had one on my last car an it was about an inch shorter, shorter up/down and side to side feel. matched with aluminium bushings for the cage instead of the rubber ones it did feel rather 'special' and was more clunky.

Yeah but they aren't cutting the gear stick down they are customising the gear changer what's on top of the box I would pay £95 to have some cut me stick down would do that me self lol
