Oh dear..lots of lights on my wifes VRS dash!

Featured Replies

My wife just called me downstairs to look at some strange lights on her dash upon starting her VRS.

The car had been running fine about an hour earlier but now 6 warning lights were showing:-

Blown bulb

EPC

Exhaust (Cat)

ABS

Traction control

Tyre Pressure

The car is running OK but it sounds as if the AC fan is on, however, all ventilation controls & lights are dead.

Headlights and tail lights (inc. brake lights) are working but not the indicators (if I press the hazard button nothing happens...no clicking noise..same on the stalk).

If I were on a computer I'd reset it as looks like a 'blue screen'.

I've pulled the main ECU fuse (no.7), no joy...thought about disconnecting the battery but I don't want to lose any stored fault codes (would this cause the fault codes to dissapear?)

Any suggestions...or should I just call Skoda assist/my dealer in the morning? :-(

She took my boy off to footie in the Octavia VRS...that car has never missed a beat..her VRS has had a few niggles (intermitant cenral locking fault, burnt out heated seat, occasional e.w. glitch).

I would get skoda assist out. If you cannot drive the car they will tow you to the nearest dealer

Battery disconnect = soft reset.

Leave it off for about 10 minutes.

Fault codes will be stored so don't worry about that.
