Wheel bearing replaced

Featured Replies

Had the front N/S wheel bearing replaced under warranty and now the steering wheel seems slightly off centre going in a straight line.

Should the dealer have carried out an alignment/tracking check after fitting a new wheel bearing?

Thanks in advance

Yes they should've but they also charge for it.

Apparantly most dealers outsource this task, or only do a rudimentary toe job.

A proper alignment place should give the most satisfaction/£.

The steering wheel shouldn't go off centre whilst replacing a wheel bearing :(

Should be checked and adjusted after any steering and suspension work has been carried out.
