Anyone in the UK able to tell me if there are any known issues with the FL Combi 4x4 CR170 delivery? Skoda Ireland, apparently, will not get any until March 2014

As things stand I will be leaving the Skoda family and placing an order for a new Volvo. I'm less than impressed with the Skoda communications and way of doing business.

Get a pre-FL Outdoor instead.

 

Plenty in stock so available for immediate delivery and you'll benefit from getting the better looking pre-FL front end too!

Plenty in stock so they are not big sellers which mean they depreciate more. My local dealer was knocking five grand of there's just to get rid of it and they would not be having another. So there is a model less than loved by most as it is more money for a lot less kit. I was not impressed with it.

No thanks, I have one already and will not get the same car twice.

FL version would be just about tolerable, simply because the CR170 is now only available with the DSG box.

I'm a fan of the Octavia Scout / Audi Allroad Tupperware so quite like the Outdoor. Still well out of my price range though.

 

Back to the OP, I'd recommend trying another dealer to see if their response is the same. It may be that your dealer is trying to put you off and hoping you'll settle for a stock car instead?

Interestingly, I'm planning to do the reverse! I'm so sick of my Volvo S80 AWD that I'm planning to go back to Skoda. I'd used an Octavia and Superb before, and right now my wife has an Octavia II. Blieve me, Skoda is much more reliable than Volvo (as the reliability index of the insurance companies also agree.)
