I want to change the box oil in my vrs & as I work in a ford dealer I have spare ford spec oil, is it worth putting this stuff in it or get the gen vag oil???

I haven't changed mine, but a lot of people have and apparently non genuine oil can make the box notchy. The proper stuff is cheap anyway so you might as well get that and be done with it.

As you are trade, there should be no problem getting it from you local TPS.

Just get the propper stuff from TPS, it's only about £11 for 2 litres.

recently done mine and genuine oil £12 for 2 litres from dealer and made such a difference.

Search on here, read the various threads and issues people have had and then buy the proper vag stuff.

ONLY use vag stuff, the box is designed for it, not some other spec oil and you are just brewing up trouble by not sticking to the spec
