Hi all

I've recently viewed an Octavia VRS TDI hatchback in a local garage for £8500

Blue 58 plate

62k miles with FSH. The cambelt service was recently done

climate control

real parking sensors

pretty immaculate inside and outside

I know very little about these cars other than I like them. I plan to use my next car for business and could be putting 25k a year on it but I have scoured autotrader, piston heads, gumtree, ebay, preloved and I cannot find much cheaper unless it has more miles. So I'd like to gauge opinion..is this a good price? should I keep looking?

I thought at first it was overpriced bt now that I've only seen the odd one cheaper with less miles I'm thinking actually its not bad.

Is it a PD or CR tdi as the CR is a betpter engine and has less issues

can you still get the vrs diesel with the pd on a 58 plate. mines is a 08 plate and has a cr engine.

Pd all the way mate !

well the advert says PD, how accurate that is I don't know

are PD/CR engine codes?

Also tell a lie, it is an 08 plate

Pd all the way mate !

Why do you say that?

+1 for a pd love mine!

You should be commuting by bike! Thought I recognised your name; welcome to the forum!

Why do you say that?

Some people like the power delivery in the pd more than the car (which is more linear and less big lump). You seem to get less of a kick with the car.

I've also seen a 09 Limited Edition newly up for sale today with 70k a couple hundred quid cheaper but is 100 miles away
