EGP Substitute

Featured Replies

Morning all.

I am finally coming to the end of my AG EGP and wondering what else is out there that is championed by the guys and gals on Brisky that I could use as a replacement?

Cheers. Paul.

Hi

I've used Pooboys EX-P sealant on my Octavia on top of Poorboys Black Hole polish. Very impressed though can't say definitively if it's better than EGP as I always put a layer of wax on top.

FK1000P

FK1000P

Isn't that a wax rather than a sealant?

I'd class it as a Sealant as it contains no natural products, purely synthetic. Becasue it comes in Paste form like some waxes I guess you could put it in the hybrid category!

Taken from the CleanYourCar product description -

"Developed from a West German process called Synthesis FinishKare 1000P is a blend of advanced pure synthetic materials.

The result is a paste wax characterized by melting temps. of 250+ degrees, extreme hardness, extreme slickness, high gloss, and intensive wear without the quality fluctuations found in natural waxes"

Ah, I see. Thank you.

I'd take a look at the Sonax Xtreme range, great sealants and the QD is unbelievable, almost as strong as a sealant in it's own right.
