Newbie vrs octy owner saying hi !

Featured Replies

Hi there , I'm a glad new owner of a 54 plate octy vrs , standard apart from k an n filter and stage 1 remap , I've bought the car extremely cheap as my bro who has owned 2 of these (a 51 plate then 54 plate needed a new vehicle to pull a caravan , so he had know where to store it and it needed 2 tyres a handbrake cable and new rear disks and pads which I knew he neither had the time or energy to get fixed before he could sell it , so I offered him a silly price of £800 pound and bless his cotton socks hi accepted , this will be my first turbo car , and much faster than my old school 1.6 205 gti , so I've sorn it for a while to get the few bits done on it and to valet the silly white coloured carpet and trim inside but I can't wait to get this beast on the road , it does seam to be damp with oil under the inlet manifold which my bro tells me this is a common problem and advised me to chat with you guys as although I'm a hgv fitter by trade it can be a fiddly task , so hi to all and I'm looking forward to being a part of your community !!!!!!!!
