Ibiza bump stops?

Featured Replies

I am fitting 25mm springs and shocks in a few days and i am going to replace my bump stops as well. I have heard about the slightly shorter/better Ibiza one's but are they off the normal 1.9tdi Ibiza or are the ones that i need on the Ibiza Cupra only??

And where is the best place to buy them from??

Thanks

When I ordered mine they told me they were on the Ibiza Cupra.

I got mine from TPS.

Give them a call and use that part code. They're about £25 the pair.

Do i need 2 pairs then, one for front and one for rear or just rear only??

No, they are the same ones fitted to the Fabia. Your better off just cutting down your standard ones, trim then down by about 7cm.

Ok, would i even need to cut them if i'm only fitting shocks and springs which lower by 25mm??

I'm not to sure mate, I'm tempted to say no. I only fitted mine because it was being dropped low on coilovers.

Did you do your suspension in the end mate??

Did you also only use x2 bump stops on the rear??

Rears are 6q0 512 131d    67mm long

Fronts are 6LL 412 301 ( off ibiza cupra)

The standard rear fabia ones are 123mm long

Yup but ring a dealer or TPS they may be cheaper.

I didn't bother with them, the standard ones on mine were fine so didn't need replacing

I also don't think the shorter ones are needed unless you are going quite low on coilovers

Not going low with coilovers, just wanted to get the shorter ones on while upgrading everything else, though read on another thread that the Bilsteins B8's that i have, have already got the bump stops built into the fronts. Not sure how true that is though as i can't see any mention of that on the product description.

I ended up cutting the old ones. I cut them at the first rib and pushed/forced with the help of a flat bladed screwdriver into the piston rod sleeve protector thingy's. They ended up about the same length as the Ibiza ones, sorry but I forgot to take pic's.

A bit pikey but overall does the same job as the Ibiza ones, the car feels fine and defiantly not hitting the bump stops.

B8 defo have built in bumpstops on front due to being upside downies
