I have a gold 2001 Octy Elegance TDI. Fabulous car, just got cruise fitted by my local dealer (after a bit of a struggle). A bit dissapointed with them though, I've had to tell them how to fix my car on a couple of occasions

Anyway, my question is...with another baby imminent I'll be needing to fit a rear-facing child seat in the car but having a passenger airbag is not good. Is there any way to disable it temporarily?

Yes it can be turned off.

This can be done at a dealer as there are a number of forms to be filled in.

Just give your local dealer a call and they should be able to help you.
