Is it possbile to retro-fit an origonal alarm? How would I go about it and what parts do I need?

As far as I know there wasn't a factory alarm, it was dealer fitted. Could be wrong of course

I'm not aware of a factory alarm on the Octy either. It's already got a transponder immobiliser, and everything bar the control box and sounder for a perimetric system though.

Assuming the alarm siren is controlled by the central convenience unit, could any siren be fitted? Is the wiring there ready?

I had the standard Cat 2 (immobiliser only) which is/was factory fitted, to full Cat 1 upgrade fitted when I bought my Octy Vrs 9 years ago.

Hi, hopefully you won't mind my question here - I don't have an Octavia, but its close relative from a Spanish brand. But mechanically, they are same. Anyway, I have a 77kW CBZB. It worked flawlessly for the year I own the car, but when this summer started, I noticed occasional loss of power. It only happens in hot weather (around 30 degrees and up) with AC on. In most cases, it happened when I wanted to accelerate after mild climbing at lower gear at ~2000RPM. It feels almost like a limp mode

Hi everyone this has most probably been covered before I'm thinking of getting a stage 1 remap on my 2023 Octavia Vrs petrol . I've been looking it up and some people say I need a DSG tune as well is this true? any help would be grateful.

I have had an ongoing problem for 2 years with my 2018 Kodiaq .2.0l TSI battery losing charge over a few days and the battery charging randomly at different charge rates. To date I have had: 2 replacement batteries (at my cost) then under Extended Warranty (now expired) 1 replacement negative battery lead (with sensor) 1 replacement alternator Symptoms (monitored with Ancel Battery Manager device and multimeter) Battery discharges in a few hours from 100% SoC /12.8v to around 65% then conti

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it.
