Tick... tock.... waiting

Featured Replies

I have just been told today that our new Yeti S 4x4 is being built next week, he has assured me we should have it by the end of October, does this seem reasonable.

Depends on when you initially ordered it I guess? Otherwise, 4 weeks from initial build date to pick up doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

We ordered it on 31st August, yesterday the dealer confirmed it would be built in the first week of october, he always indicated delivery should be at the end of October so will wait and see.

Tick.. tock...

I wonder how long now?

I placed my order on 17th August and was quoted week 43 build (23rd October) with delivery early November - Ho Hum. I imagine build date depends on variant as parts have to be ordered on a 'just in time' basis - does anybody have an idea?

I saw a load of Yeti's and VW's on a transporter yesterday heading up from the coast!

Yay.  A V reg means a car registered in Worcester (the V is for SeVern Valley)

Iolo,

Did you order a DSG gearbox by any chance? That's the only "option" I've ordered on mine and I seem to have ended up with similar timings to you. Hoping for early November delivery also.

octykent: Yes I did - so this may explain it. I guess then (and it is only a guess) that they order in a batch of gearboxes with a delivery date of week x and gear (no pun intended) their build around that.

Tick... tock...
My dealer tells me that although my Yeti will arrive with them on Wednesday, I can't collect it until 2pm Friday as they have to put it through the workshop for checking etc. .... and they are busy.

Oh well...

My laptop screen counter now reads 3 days, 13 hours, 37minutes, 30 seconds
