Anyone else seen any of these floating around?

I've seen loads recently and they have all been siver and all been taxi's.

Just wondering where they have come from? As far as I was aware the last mk1's were 06"s?

They're taxis! Skoda sold them as the Octavia Tour.

As above, they continued to produce them for the private hire market

Can private customers buy them or just business users?

I assumed they were just sold to businesses. I don't think they are still selling. I have see a few for sale on auto trader second hand.

Couple local to me, both Taxis.

They were sold privately also, in Ireland anyway. I've just picked up a one owner 2008 model, with less than 70,000 km on the clock

 

About 50% of the cars I looked at were ex-taxis though. There are a small number of 2010 plates around too, but I presume production ceased in August 09.
