Fabia bootlock "rattles" when unlocking

The bootlock on my Fabia estate seems to be affected by heat!! When the weather is really warm, when you open the boot the lock seems to do a multiple click which then makes it difficult to lock as it doesnt catch the clip!

Has anyone else had this problem? This is the only problem Ive had with the car in nearly 3 years of ownership.

Should I insist on getting the lock assembly replaced before the warranty runs out or is there an easy fix?
