Bolero faults 00446 & 00532, root cause?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have an intermitent issue with my Bolero in the Octavia. The unit turns off occasionally and the rear parking display sometimes doesn't show on the screen(audio beeps work ok).

VCDS shows the following:

00446 - function limitation due to under-voltage

002 - lower limit exceeded - intermittent

00532 - supply voltage b+

002 - lower limit exceeded -intermittent

Any views on the root cause for this? It the bolero itself likely to be faulty?

Thoughts appreciated

Dodgy battery?

Dodgy wiring?

Bad connection on back of the HU?

Duff bolero?

If the power supply was low there would be alternatir faults I guess. A bad connection would not usually manifest as low voltage? Perhaps worth an investigation behind the HU
