Brilliant :D

One well colour coordinated car seat :)

Note from the picture you have a 5 door as the rear window opens on the clip thing....slightly off topic but why did they not do that to the 3 door?

I said this to Charlie at the East Midlands meet

Should have been included on the 3dr as well

Good match that seat.

Had child seats in the back of mine, they fitted well and being seated a little higher than my previous car meant the grandkids could see out of the car windows ok, thus keeping them more occupied rather than bored.

The clip opening window I find useful as what do kids want to do as soon as they see a switch, lever or similar. They are very stiff to operate, so secure.

It's a good question about the pop-out windows. Having the 3 door and the 5 door side by side at the meet Damo and I could see no reason for not having the feature on the 3 door. I can only imagine it's a penny-pinching thing, perhaps as a 5 door people expect some sort of opening rear door window, whilst on a 3 door you don't expect, or mind too much a rear quarter light window not opening, if you see what I'm getting at.

Think the only logic is they assumed people that buy the 3 door are single or couples and they would rarely have passengers in the rear?

I know that has been our logic when buying cars in the past, we had 5 doors for practicality/passengers.

Only got 3 door on the citigo as it was mainly only 2 in it at any one time.

My main car is still a 5 door as the family mover.

At least modern cars make an effort for the fitting of car seats with iso points etc They never used too, think I had straps around the seat backs or they had just the seat belt on them.

I deliberately chose a seat without a ton of plastic under and behind the seat as I think they look ugly and project forward too much so little ones' feet push into the back of the front seat. This seat as you can see is quite flush to the upholstery which means there is a little difficulty in seeing out, but the rate she's growing that won't be for too long.

I haven't seen any small 3 door hatchbacks with opening rear windows since my mum had a Fiat 127 back in the 1980's (pop-out) but there have been Mercedes 'coupes' (ie 2 door saloon not hatch) with opening rear windows (sliding like the front).

I think you guys are right - cost cutting and most people who often carry passengers buy a 5 door.

The pop-out windows are quite safe with children though - you can't lean out or put hands out!

Great child seat and I think your daughter will like the visibility even when she is older and on a booster cushion. The side windows are large and low - many cars are impossible for children to see out of in the back seat. The Citigo also has slightly raised rear seats (compared to the front). I have seen pictures of the rear of a Megane Coupe, Hyundai i30 and ce'ed (hatch or coupe I think both..) have tiny windows set high up with a 'rising waistline' effect causing them to taper to practically a letter box.

Thanks for posting and look forward to more pics of your car and projects.
