can yet do 100k miles on any of those engines?

Featured Replies

I mean without mechanic visit because cannot decide between octavia estate 4x4 and yeti 4x4

and I know VAG engines suck these days.

Eh?

All engines suck, as in they have to take in air so that the combustion system can work. That applies across the board.

Any Octavia built in the same period as a Yeti will have the same engine.

Define "mechanic visit"? Yes they will need servicing, again as will all engines.

If you have doubts in the vag engines then surely you should consider a third, non vag option. Octavia and yeti of the same era will be identicle underneath. Manufacturers still develop and test to min 150k main component life span afaik.

Indeed, that user has just been banned as a duplicate account.

I wish the Bosch rear brakes were tested to 150k; started to fall apart 'so to speak' after less than a year and 10 k miles on ours :S

Weather permitting new slider kits is the day off task tomorrow with only 33k on the clock
