always used febi and found to be a lot better quality

ZF Lemforder is the OEM, so fit those ones.

The Febi arms will be pattern parts.

I would have said Febi up until recently, but I have had a few of their bushes and top mounts that haven't lasted very well at all, so I would go Lemforder if you want them to last a long time.

lemforder are of better quality mate i have them on mine

Hmmm, Febi ball joints are absolute utter crap.

I don't have much faith in their bushes. Stick with Lemforder.

And your basing this on how many years experience as a mechanic fitting febi parts ?

Never had a problem with a single febi bush or joint in a lot of years so bit of a sweeping statement

Ooh, only about 20 years. :D And not just tinkering and messing about with my own cars either.

And in particular, the Febi Heavy Duty vRS drop links are utterly dire quality compared to OEM with regards to longevity. Several motors I've had to replace them time and again at MOT time. Learnt my lesson. On Galaxy's, Audi's, Octy's...

It's a sweeping statement for a reason. The quality is what you pay for. They're cheaper for a reason.

Wasnt that Meyle HD, or do Febi do the same?

I trained as a technition 26 years ago and fitted an awful lot of febi stuff and never had a single problem so don't know how you have ended up with so many parts to replace every mot time...might be something to do with crap roads killing suspension with in weeks of fitting new parts?

Febi consistently make good quality pattern parts that are better quality than most pattern part manufacturers. Ball joints are the one exception.

Lemforder makes even better parts than Febi. This is usually reflected in the price

To be fair, the roads really are crap around here. However, the OEM parts don't seem to suffer the same.

Actually, Scouse Lad, yer right, I take that back about the HD stuff, which WAS Meyle, which is real poop. Threads are different too.
