Fabia vRS 2006/06 74k FSH 1 previous lady owner

Featured Replies

Skoda Fabia vRS 2006 / 06, 74k, 1 previous lady owner.

Only for sale due to change of circumstances;

Offered for sale is my wife's Skoda Fabia vRS 1.9tdi.

The car has had only one registered lady owner, the car having been supplied to her by Vindis Skoda in Norfolk.

The car has full service history (I will update the advert with full details, or email me for details; needless to say it is comprehensive with all bills / invoices that correspond to the fully stamped service book).
Briefly, this is as follows;

30/05/06 PDI, delivery miles, Vindis Of Woolpit
29/05/07, 10,106 miles, Vindis Of Woolpit
01/04/08, 19,836 miles, Vindis Of Woolpit
09/01/09, 29,887 miles, Cattermoles Skoda Specialist, Ipswich
14/10/09, 40,408 miles, Cattermoles Skoda Specialist, Ipswich
17/11/10, 50,066 miles, Cattermoles Skoda Specialist, Ipswich (see below in addition)
30/11/11, 60,059 miles, Cattermoles Skoda Specialist, Ipswich
13/03/13, 70,727 miles, Chesterfield VAG Specialist

In addition to the service on 17/11/10 the cambelt, water pump and auxiliary belts were replaced.

Equipment;

Finished in red,  the car is equipped as follows;

ABS
Air conditioning
Alarm
Alloy wheels
Body coloured bumpers
CD
Cloth seat trim
Driver`s airbag
Electric mirrors
Folding rear seats
Front electric windows
Front fog lights
Full size spare wheel
Heated mirrors
Height adjustable drivers seat
PAS
Passenger`s airbag
Remote locking
Sports seats
Steering wheel rake adjustment

In addition, the first owner ordered genuine Skoda  rubber floor mats, genuine rubber boot mat, boot area storage net (the original sales invoice is with the paperwork, showing a 'new car order form invoice' of £11,722.33

Statistics;

In 2003 the vRS was awarded 'Diesel Car Of The Year' award, which is not surprising when you consider the following;
0-62mph 9.2 secs
Top Speed 128 mph
Power Output 130 bhp
229 lb-ft torque
Combined Government fuel consumption of 53mpg (on local journeys I get about 50mpg, on motorway journeys 60-65mpg)
CO2 emissions of  140g/km
VED band E ( £77 / 6 months, £140 / 12 months

Several motoring magazines and websites have measured faster 0-62times around the 7.0-7.5 seconds range (Autocar: 7.1 seconds, Auto Express: 8.1 seconds, and FastHatchbacks.com: 8.5 seconds). The in gear acceleration times are 50-70 mph in 5.6 seconds, quicker than BMW's 330i which takes 6.0 seconds. 20-40 mph in 2.4 seconds is as quick as the Lotus Elise 111R.

Condition;

The car is dent and scratch free, other than one 1cm scratch on the bonnet (see images to follow) and a few very minor stone chips to the front (the car is 7 years old after all) but these are very minor, and almost impossible to photograph.

The front tyres are new (Uniroyal Rainsport2 205/45 ZR16), the rears (Dunlop SP Sport) only slightly worn.

The only interior wear worthy of mention is that the glovebox lid has scratches on it (caused by the first owners small children when sat on a child seat in the front) and I would have changed it for a used item from eBay (circa £30-40) but unfortunately I'm disabled so wrangling with truculent car interiors isn't my forté!

The MOT expires on June 3rd 2014 (no advisories), although I have such confidence in the provenance of my wifes Fabia that I will put 12 months mot on the car if the buyer wishes (at their cost - I will pay for any work needed!)
The current  VEL (road tax) expires on 30/11/13.

The car is HPi clear (no accidents, no outstanding finance, no condition alerts or reg number changes) but please feel free to check for yourself.

Please bear in mind that most of this advert is MY 'opinion' (what else could it be?) and one thing is certain.... we are all different people with different opinions!
I have tried very hard to provide you with as much detail as possible, and every attempt has been made to ensure that this advert lists the correct specification, and that no important pieces of information have been left out. Having said that, unintentional mistakes can be made and for this reason and for your COMPLETE SATISFACTION I would prefer you to view the car.

With regards to test drives, my wife or myself will happily demonstrate the car to anyone who is interested, but, unless you bring an insurance cover note that covers this vehicle for 'Fully Comprehensive', please don't expect to drive it - that isn't because there is anything to hide, it just saves arguing and heartache if it 'all goes Pete Tong"!!!

We, and the car (naturally !) are situated about 4 miles from J29 of the M1, near Clay Cross / Alfreton in Derbyshire, or 4 miles from the Alfreton exit on the A38.

Please don't enquire if you live outside of the UK, or you are the deluded representative of a deposed African despot who wants to send me a cheque for £5,000,000 and for me to send the change of £4,995,000.....

In April of this year, I won a competition on Facebook to have a full rolling road session and conversion at Tunit, Chorley, Lancashire.

On 17/04/13 I took the car to Tunit, where as a standard car it produced 151bhp on their rolling road (as compared to the 'standard 130bhp).
After fitting, the car produced 176bhp and over 320 Lbs/ft torque. Yet on a run it gets better mpg of over 64mpg....!

The car has been featured on Tunits own website, and in this months DieselCar magazine.

Other than that,  the original lady owner had SuperPro poly bushes fitted all round.
There are no other modifications.

My wife is in her mid-40's and certainly doesn't drive like a boy-racer; this is an in-abused example, not to be confused with many that are offered for sale.

I am asking £4250.

Not cheap, certainly, but then this is a lovely, unabused example with FSH.

Thanks!

NB if you require any further images of the car, please contact me on the above with your full email address, and I will forward them.

Please note I have got images of all the paperwork, including the service book (individual pages), MOTs, all services receipts / invoices, and all incidental bills.

This amounts to 47 pages of bills / invoices, and 9 pages of service book entries and stamps.....

Sold to Rob, (Freedom member) from Newport, who I know will look after it.

Sorry to the other 3 who wanted the car, as I said to you, I am a man of my word, and Rob was first to express firm interest.

Thank you to all who expressed interest in the car.

Very pleased with the car Andy, drives like a dream and pulls like a train. She will be well looked after.
