Might be a silly question but I notice that wiper packs for the Octavia always list different size blades for the passenger from the driver, but they also state 06 Octavia and mine is an 05.

 

I have had my car just 10 days and looks like mine could do with replacing. The thing is, the ones fitted to mine appear to be the same size.

 

So has the previous owner fitted incorrect size blades? Or was it only after 06 that Skoda started to fit different size blades to each side of the screen. I have noticed that the driver's blade goes nowhere near the top few inches of the screen so i suspect the ones fitted are wrong.

 

Not the most exciting topic I know but just want to get it right.

My advice would be to visit wiperblades.co.uk and enter your car details. You can't go wrong. Buy Bosch.

All of the online sites I found have come up with 24 and 19 but state from 2006, mine is 2005. 

 

However the one you have just given me comes up with the same sizes but does state from 2004, so I am going to order those sizes.

 

Also ECP doesn't seem to be accepting any voucher codes at the moment. I have several and none of them are working.

I got a set of genuine Bosch fronts off eBay for £15.99 for the pair. Turns out the ones fitted were the correct size, but they were shot.

 

Thanks for all your help. Funny how I couldn't spot that 5" difference from inside the car but easy to spot once off and side by side.
