hi all. been having a strange problem with my vrs since purchased 12 months ago. when the car is cold i.e the choke is on and sai pump running. the lights etc will surge every other revolution of the engine. but it will only do it for about a minute then return to normal. after connecting a voltage meter to it from cold it confirms that the voltage is jumping from 12.4 to 14.4 constantly for the first minute. iam a bit stumped poss alternater problem??? anyone had this problem??

thanks i will remove the battery and take a look.

I had the same problem and it was down to the earths.

My battery died a few months ago and i cleaned earths up while i had battery out and run another earth cable from body to battery.

On the plus side i now get 20 miles more to a tank of fuel
