Locking wheel nuts on alloys?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I have just joined the forum. Not quite a Citigo owner yet but I ordered a Citigo Hatchback 1.0 60 Greentech 5 door Elegance (white) yesterday. Delivery given as mid October. Really looking forward to getting the car.

Just one question for now... nowhere in the brochure does it mention the alloys have locking wheel nuts. I assume they do as standard but thought I should find out. Other makes who have alloys say that locking wheel nuts are supplied, but I could not see anything in the Skoda brochure.

Please could someone let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

Mine does on my Sport

Think they are standard tbh

Someone else will be along shortly to confirm no doubt

Welcome to the forum anyway :)

Damo

Dad's Elegance has them.

Thank you Damo (including your welcome) and SimonJ for your responses.

So looks as though you do get them. I thought they should be included but as I said with no mention in the brochure I was concerned that they were not. Don't fancy my new Citigo being stacked up on bricks with wheels missing one morning!

Thanks again!

From your location, did you buy from Westover Skoda?

Thats where I got mine from if so.

The salesman Michael Evans was one of the nicest guys ive ever met

Yes my Elegance has them.  Sadly I discovered this withing two days of getting the car when I got a puncture.  TBH I would not worry, nobody bothers stealing standard alloys now a days.

I can confirm that locking wheel nuts are standard when you have alloys fitted as standard.

Thanks everyone else who has responded. Sorry to be slow responding. I had thought I had set up notifications for replies but I assume not, so only when visiting the site again did I notice there were more replies.

@Damo - yes I have ordered it from Westover Skoda in Bournemouth where I live and yes, Michael has been involved in the deal. The sale is actually booked to another salesman called Carl, but Michael, who is the sales manager, was involved for the large part (as Carl had a day off) in answering my questions. Michael was very helpful as was Carl.

I had been looking at 2-3 other makes of city car, but when I test drove the Citigo Elegance (I was also considering an SE) I was smitten! No other car of those I was looking at matched the Elegance, but when I was told delivery was 11-12 weeks (another dealer quoted me 17 weeks), I had expected I would need to go for another make. That is because my Citroen C1 VTR+ is on a 2 year PCP which ends at the end of October and the 12 week+ wait would mean I would have to be without a car which, because of family needs, would have been difficult.

I test drove the Citigo last Thursday. On the Friday I corresponded quite a lot with Michael who was very good at answering my questions, but by the end of the day, I had lost hope of being able to get a Citigo Elegance in the timeframe I had to work in. On the Saturday however, Westover Skoda phoned me again to check what model and colour of Citigo I definitely would be happy with. I could say definitely an Elegance which seems so much better for not very much more money over the SE and didn't mind white or red. I decided not to go metallic as I couldn't justify the extra spend with trying to manage my spend budget.

About an hour or so later, they phoned back to tell me they had been able to track down a new white (unregistered) Elegance for delivery by 3rd week of October. I did wonder, given that there is no stock in the UK how they had managed that, but apparently the Elegance was on order for another dealer for their showroom whilst Westover in Bournemouth had a different model due for delivery which the other dealer wanted. So once I had agreed to order the Elegance the delivery address for the two cars has been swapped.

So, I am looking forward to receiving my Citigo by the third week of October ordered on a 42 month PCP under the current Skoda offer of 0% finance and included servicing for 3 years. A really good deal I think. I cannot wait for the car to be delivered :)
