What about the Citroen Cactus?  :peek:

Takes ugly to a whole new level  :giggle:

The general consensus on the Cactus (when speaking to people into car design) is however that it is a fantastically designed Citroën.  Simple shapes, clear detailing, lovely floating roof... nope the Cactus is in car design terms something approaching a masterpiece and a welcome return to their DS days from the 1950s.  But as with the Juke it is Each to their own!   :giggle:

There is a purity of form in the Citroen DS, as in the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar E Type, that is rarely touched by car designers. IMO the Cactus doesn't approach that excellence by a country mile :wonder:

Perhaps its stealth fighter like sharp and angled form makes it undetectable to speed cameras

I can just imaging Jeremy Clarkson pulling a funny face to describe this concept.

And EXACTLY why the Cactus is such a good design.  It is NOT over designed like the Juke, any Mercedes you care to mention or the new Infiniti 1-series competitor. People generally like simple things to understand shapes.  Hence the Yeti is liked by most (apart from the polarising fogs of the pre-FL Yeti perhaps).

Are there any cars that don't look like Postman Pat's ride that this section approves of?

If it's good enough for Pat and his black and white cat........

Anything with angles is Dan Dare/Buck Rogers territory!

Well, the Mazda 3 has a nice happy smile, I think?  :hi: And surely there are more.

But bearing in mind that this section of Briskoda.net is titled 'Škoda Yeti owners', it might be fairly predictable that a number of members here might have a bit of a soft spot for the Yeti, being owners or potential owners.  The Cactus, the Jag and the other one (can't remember now what it was * ) aren't seriously up for like-for-like comparison with the Yeti, are they?

Are they?!

PS * As the thread says, it's a Lexus....

But bearing in mind that this section of Briskoda.net is titled 'Škoda Yeti owners',

Doesn't it say "Discussions on the Skoda Yeti"?
