Evening all,

My name is Paul and up in Glasgow. My wife and I have been looking at a few cars recently but ended up biting the bullet and bought a skoda today, more on that later.

I've had a few few nice cars (well... What I consider nice...) in the past, so I thought I would share them before getting to the newbie.

I started of with a 1.2 1995 Corsa which luckily I don't have any pictures of! So moving on....

I went onto a 106 gti which was a great car, followed by a '79 mini clubman and a 2.0 na MR2, I had all three at one point....

From there I moved to an import MR2 turbo, a fairly nippy car and loved every minute of it. I bought this as the na just didn't feel that quick and the turbo basically appeared down the road in the same colour as the na so had to get it!

Then onto something more comfortable....

Then cheaper.... On pcp....

Pcp ran out in May this year, so bought a runner, I was supposed to use this till it's mot in march next year but averaging 16 mpg made us change our mind and go get a new car now! I have to admit, the 2.3 turbo T5 engine was a plesure to own even just for a few months!

So now, we bought our skoda, pick it up tomorrow afternoon, looking forward to it now!

And before anyone asks why we didn't get the MC Tech, 1. We wouldn't use the satnav or bluetooth and 2. We really wanted yellow!!

It's a 1.6 tdi, pre-registered at the end of June and had 2 miles on it when we test drove it, now at 15.

Welcome along Paul. I do think the Furby looks outrageous in that colour!

Know what you mean re the MR2. I had the 10th Anniversary one, supposed to be the most powerful non import in the UK at 173 bhp. It never felt as quick or enjoyable as my MK1 and my Octy is waaaay quicker!
