wind deflectors

Featured Replies

Can anyone link me to a decent set of wind deflectors for a Fabia Estate please. See a few posts mention them from internet.

Would love a set that are tinted/smoked!

Thanks

I think the 'Team Heko' ones are used by most people. Just do a search on Ebay.

I had te heko ones on my fabia the problem is they can leave your rubber seals de-formed and let water in

Thanks for the heads up. Is this dependant on how they are fitted? Anything ti look out for?

No they push into the top frame with a couple of metal wedges, be careful when fitting ( warm them up first ) as they aren't very pliable , also after fitting the auto close function may play up , however after a couple of goes it'll e fine , the reason you can get water in because the rubber door seal can deform a little and when using a hose pipe it finds it way in , but the heko ones are good ,

You can also get Skoda OEM one's, had them fitted tio a Fabia Vrs and they looked nice

Smoked colour

I have the team heko ones on my car. They are good. As said the safety features of the auto close plays up for a while but soon settles. I didn't use the metal clips on mine as they can scratch the windows. They fit fine and I've had no trouble with water ingress.

This is the exact look im wanting! Many thanks.

When you say you didnt use the metal clips, does the set come with diffrent fitting options?

Thanks

No, no different fitting opotions but there is double sided sticky tape running along the edges at points. The deflectors themselves are quite rigid and once in they don't move. We had had strong winds, motorway driving, torrential rain and power washers on them and they haven't shifted.

How much do try reduce wind noise when travelling with the windows down?

I don't think they reduce the noise by much if anything at all. They do stop that horrible buffeting noise though.

I used to live up that way, i was based at RAF Kinloss untill it closed :-(

I just recognised the 'style' of housrs in the back ground! We loved living up there. So much so were looking at buying a house in llanbryde, outside elgin,

Thanks for your help with the wind deflectors!

Small world! I used to live in elgin, now in Nairn. Love it up here. I had a few friends in Kinloss and then Lossie.... can't beat s night or in the Abbey and on to JoJo's!!

Hope you get the deflectors sorted. It took my electric windows about a week to 'learn' the deflectors we there to stay!

Do they reduce drag coefficiency?

They are streamlined and exact fit but as with any extremal mod it will do but probably just by a negligible amount. ... No more than say roof bars I would guess

I've got the Team Heko's, for the little they cost, I'm pretty happy, they look good, come in a decent tint shade, reduce buffeting.

They don't reduce much noise and potentially add a faint bit of extra on the motorway, otherwise you won't notice them.

I fitted mine in five minutes....................and I'm a muppet : )
