Tower Braces

Featured Replies

I've got a standard 2010 1.6 diesel Fabia Mk2 (i.e. not VRS) and I am looking for braces for the front and rear suspension towers. I've seen braces for Mk1 Fabias which mount on 2 or 3 studs holding the suspension units onto the pressed metal of the suspension towers. My car doesn't appear to have these studs, only the stud on the centre of the suspension unit itself.

I could put a length of angle iron onto these but wondered if anyone had a more elegant solution. Advice about any change in the car's handling as a result of fitting a tower brace would be appreciated.

As for the rear suspension towers, I have seen parts for earlier cars but nothing for mine.

Is there a specialist supplier who makes/sells these parts and wouldn't mind a few basic questions? I've checked the obvious web sites but found nothing.

I've nothing against parts manufactured for the VRS cars but the front brace has to fit round the engine parts (e.g. air filter) for the standard 1.6 diesel.

I dont think there are any strut braces available for the fabia...i could be wrong though
