Octavia Central Locking Gone?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Hope this is in the right place
Bought this P.O.S off ebay a few months back, since had problems on a weekly basis...
Last few days, the central locking has completely disappeared, each door has to be separately locked and unlocked.

Okay, not a huge issue as i hardly lock it anyway (on the basis that it's not worth the effort of stealing).

Plus it always had a really irritating auto locking thing, i assume it's a standard thing of locking all doors at 10mph+, but then not unlocking them if one door is opened and the car isn't on!

Most pointless thing ever I'm sure of it.

Anyway, I'm not here to rant, I came to fill it up today, and to my horror the fuel cap lid is part of the central locking, and pressing the dash button doesn't do anything

Any ideas?

Have tried google searching but result threads seem to be about different issues

It's a 54 plate TDi MK1 version if that helps

Ah cheers for that. got it sorted anyway, turned out to be nothing more than a blown fuse. No idea why though.
Know where to ask for when it's next 'challenge' rears it's ugly head

Hi and welcome :)

If you look in the VCDS section for the VCDS owners map, you should be able to find someone who can turn the auto-locking off for you too :)  (and run a diagnosis to see what else is lurking in there.)
