Not much left of the crash bar!!

Went out in mine...hit 1.4 bar and blew a hose off!

Fixed it but didn't have time to go back out,.

hahah gotta love the sound of popping boost hoses! most people look at you like the car just blew up

Well just been up the road...WOW!

Has made a massive difference..

Even with LSD,its breaking traction in 4th gear.

And the good news is,I thought the actuator was bad..but it's not,as I've left the setting as 1.5 bar,gain was up 85% and I had to turn it down as was hitting 1.8 bar...so clearly the cooler was a massive restriction.

Did I say I'm happy?!

Next stop rs4 body,then back on the rollers..

Welly is the guy that first fitted one to his Leon with the aid of bill at badger5!

The car then ran on the dyno at badger5 after and the differences logged showing huge improvements over more expensive forge fmic's,thus the wellycooler was born!

I may be wrong but I think his name was Alex wellings???

I may go this route but i hate the piping over the engine bay so may go leon Cupra R / S3 inlet.

Hi guys I was thinking of getting a forge intercooler fitted at a tuning garage but fully fitted im looking at £900.

Whats this welly cooler all about and is it any better than the forge cooler? How much and where could I get one fitted?

speak to cntuning welly cooler is alot better than the forge and alot sodding cheaper!!

Is the welly cooler better on a stage 1 or 2 car then the forge? Or is it just when on cars producing over 300 bhp?or is it really down to money?,don't get me wrong the forge is to expensive if you pay full price(a lot of people don't) but you do get a cooler and pipework that fit with no faffing about and judging by mine works very well,I would be interested in some back to back test result as if the difference is massive there may be a forge up for sale soon lol

Better than a forge no doubt..

I had one on my stage 2 LCR..no quite 300bhp.

If you look inside the forge cooler,it has sharp angles,not very good for flow at all.

Mine made 220bhp on sharks rollers other month with all bits done for stage 2, but it only has sharks stage 1 map on it.

Apparently its quiet healthy for whats been done

Just ain't had the time to fit this...
