Bhp estimates?

Featured Replies

So I've just got my vrs and looking to give it a few upgrades soon, what bhp will I be roughly producing with the following done...

Tx autosport front mount

Egr delete,,

And a stage 1 map?

At a guess, I would say ~170bhp and ~300lb/ft

That not bad :) cheers, any other suggestions welcome to, to add more bhp :)

+1. The Intercooler and egr delete won't add anything

After a stage 1 map it gets expensive to add power. Depends what your aiming for power wise, but you'll be looking at hybrid turbo/ bigger turbo and uprated clutch and solid mass flywheel to handle the power. The standard exhaust is good for 200bhp

Oh right tbf I'm pretty happy with I standard but I know in time ill get bored but ill see where I'm at after a map :)

Yer bigger turbo for more power now. Look at other mods though as bhp isnt everything. Look in to brakes, suspension, rear anti roll bars.

Not to be rude but its abit of a rubbish question to ask especially not knowing who mapped it and lots of other stuff. Plus surely the mapper should of told you what they think there maps produce.

Alright thanks and I haven't started yet mate that's what I want done, starting with the front mount :) also I saw you fitted a autosport fmic, what was it like to fit and do I need a map sensor or what ever its called?

You get a map sensor pipe with the txautosport kit wich is good. It was a bit tricky in places but not to bad especialy if you got some power tools at hand.

Oh that's good do I have to buy a map sensor? Or do I have one? I'm still learning btw lol, how much was your kit out of interest?

You already have a map sensor. It's attached to the intercooler

think he meant the boss/sleeve for when you have alloy pipework with a front mount ;)

Oh, Joe answered that so though he meant did he need a new one lol

No its included in the kit, i did say ;)

Im pretty sure i payed £270

I think we need to have a sticky, I'm guilty of it when i was a newbie but this question gets asked at least 3 times a month :D

Its always the same answer between 170-180bhp 280/320 lb ft depending on rolling road and map lol

I was planning on doing a comprehensive guide for newbies. I might make a start soon

I done a Fabia common mods post ages ago, it was suggested to be a sticky but never happened.

Right thanks for all the replies and advice :) I think you should make a sticky thread, us newbies tend not to look
