Another vRS ordered

Featured Replies

After much faffing around by the Lease company, I have finally managed to place the order for my White vRS Estate!!!

I'm not sure I will be able to survive the next 12 weeks or so - I may go "pop"!

Out of interest, why go with a lease company as opposed to using Skoda (VAG) finance?

Hope that isn't a blonde question!!

Yes, I would be interested too to hear the logic here as I am planning on buying new vrs this week sometime..

Maybe it's a company car?

As mentioned above, it's a company car.  The company I work for give me an Essential Car User allowance that I can only spend with their corporately appointed leasing company - it covers about 30% of the cost - not too shabby.  The only criterea are that the car must have a P11D valus of less than £25k (including options), emissions of less than 135g CO2/km and be from a limited selection of manufacturers (of which Skoda is one).

I have a young family to transport too so needed something with a bit of room.  I also travel about 600 miles a week, so I wanted something fun to drive with a bit of 'poke'.

I test drove loads of cars and had narrowed it down to a Volvo V60 (mentioned on another thread - fantastic ergonomically but not practical at all), Mazda 6 (great engine but uncomfortable seats for me @ 6'2" over a long journey) and Mercedes B200 Sport (my Wife loved it, but the boot was smaller than my current BMW 320D).

I stumbled across the MK3 Skodas as there was a garage next door to a Merc dealer I was visiting.  I was really impressed and was about to order an Elegance estate when Skoda announced the vRS.  I've been champing at the bit ever since!
