really nice pictures. The 2nd and 3rd ones, where you're looking up at the car are just great - really unusual. :)

  • Yay! A black one finally. More pictures please!!!   Hope you like washing your cars often

  • (I know that I've said this before, but...) While you're changing bulbs, replace the standard "fried-egg" front indicators with Philips Silvervision (mine from Amazon)...they're silvered to blend in w

Same with me I don't miss the Octavia's power. The Sport is just pure fun :)

Not to mention the fact you have loads of ace driving roads. Big smiles I predict on your face!

I havent tested it yet but once iv run it in i will be seeing how well it handles :-)

I just fitted my new DRL's yesterday from HIDs direct. Rather impressed with them but want new headlight bulbs and fog light bulbs to match now

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm located in West Cumbria but no doubt i'll be all over running in my new Citigo! I'll look out for you. What DRL upgrades have you got?

Car looks great, I nearly ordered black but the wasn't too impressed with paying nearly 500 quid for it. Especially when the red looks just as good!

As for washing, I like the meguires stuff. If you really want to keep it scratch & swirl free then wool washmit & 2 bucket method is a must.

I'd also recommend a carnauba wax, it will give it a really deep shine that looks ace on black!

VRSD30 - Im also in west cumbria. I have the MTEC Drl's from hids direct.

bigdavy - I wasn't sure about black but when I was looking it was the only one available without waiting for ages.

Im pleased with my choice though but need to keep it clean. Thanks for your input

Do the MTEC bulbs give out a blue/white light and were they easy to change?

Scroll to top: "PINNED: Popular mods for Citigo"....lots of info about the DRLs  including pics.

And...yes, they are nice and white...and are easy to fit, if you have long, slender fingers!

Agree very easy to change. Every bulb on the headlamp unit is easy and access is good :)

Yes they were very easy to change. If you cant manage with your fingers, long nose pliers should do the job.

The bulbs are blue to look at but when you have the ignition on they are pure white

(I know that I've said this before, but...) While you're changing bulbs, replace the standard "fried-egg" front indicators with Philips Silvervision (mine from Amazon)...they're silvered to blend in with the reflectors, but flash normal amber. A much nicer look to the front units.

How long would you expect to get out of the twin filament DRL bulbs? they are on practically all the time...

Got a set of the MTEC bulbs today in the post and fitted them, looks much better :)

Also ordered some H4 Ring Xenon ultima's and a set of the Philips silvervision for the front indicators to complete the look ;)

Get a pic of the headlight bulbs up when you can fella

Still undecided which to go for

TIA

Damo

New bulbs fitted. No fried egg look to the indicators, also ring xenon ultima I'll get some pics later when it gets dark.

Think i need to get rid of the fried egg look too! Thats if my other half gives me the car back . . .

Trouble is though you've got the blue of the MTEC,s showing as well :(

They great when they're on and too blue for my liking when off lol.... What other options have we got?

JP, get yourself a set of Philips silver vision bulbs ;-)

Now there's a thought. Add 'sizzle' to your sporty Citigo with a traditional Breakfast Pack.

Fried egg headlights & indicators, and (a Danish import) streaky bacon go-faster stripes.

Or would that be a rash decision?
