Replacing broken ABS sensor

Featured Replies

so i've had an ABS light and traction control light on since fitting my coilovers, and i've got a strong feeling that i may have ****ted my passenger side ABS sensor accidentally whilst going beserk on getting the shock out of the hub assembly...

ANYWAY

i need to replace it now as warning lights aren't cool and winter is apporaching, i'm hoping for snow, but also fully working ABS :), so i have 3 questions:

1) any of the fabia ABS sensors fit the VRS?

2) Is it a case of cutting the old one off the loom and re-wiring the new one in? and then doing all the protective gubbings around the outside of the loom?

3) How much is an ABS sensor?

if thats the case im not confident in doing it as wiring isn't my strong point at all.

Cheers

Chris

Abs sensor is peanuts

It just unlips from the wiring loom

If you've busted the loom you'll have to solder in a 2nd hand loom and plug from a write off

Its not hard to do

Try avs spares that seems pricey

I fitted that pagid one about a month ago, also from ecp. Cost about £20 but wanted quality.

If the wiring has broken you can get the plug and repair terminals from Skoda.
