Cambelt & Water Pump Change: Tamworth, Staffs

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a reputable garage to replace the cambelt on my Octy? My nearest dealer is in Birmingham and wants £400 which i think is excessive to say the least.

Take a trip down the A5 to VASSTech in Rugby. I can highly recommend.

Midland VW in cannock and BVR automotive in stoke.

Midland VW have been going for the best part of 20 years there ain't much they don't know when it comes to VAG.

And the chap who runs BVR is an ex-VW technician/service manager. My mate has used him for various VW's, seats and audi's him and his wife have owned over the last 7-8 years

BVR again for me, have done all the work on my VW's and Skoda. Can't recommend them more, top guys and outstanding workmanship

We are over in Telford and can also carry out the work for you.

Hi Ant

Where are you based? I'm in Shifnal

No idea how much Midland VW in Cannock will charge but they do know what they are doing.

A way from your area, but Auditechnik in Gloucester are doing all diesel 1.9 & 2.0 litre engines and petrol 1.8 & 2.0 litre petrol engines, cambelt & water pump, for £299 all in until December.

That's the best price I've come up with so far.

I remember my Clio 172 Cambelt was £130 and i thought that was outrageous. Perhaps im just tight? I work over at Hindlip so a trip to Worcester might be in order.

Birmingham Motor Company in Water Orton want £300 which is a bit more reasonable. Skoda want £399 +VAT.....

Worcester? Then you'll be going to Startin Skoda, Powick!

I'd keep going to Gloucester to pay £150 less than the dealer price...

3 years back I paid 320 for my cambelt and water pump on my 1.8T leon cupra at Skoda autosales in Wolverhampton
