Has anyone had any experience with either the plastic or metal sill protectors yet?

 

Lincoln Skoda are selling them for £40 less than the Skoda RRP and I'm considering buying a set.

Coincidentally -I ordered a set, just today. I should have them tomorrow with any luck. The plastic ones are not available -just the metal ones at the moment. Will post an update in due course. 

I have the black plastic sill protectors, they are easy to fit, just clean sill, place on sill, make mental note where they go, take off sill protector, pull tape off, stick down. Don't get wet for 24hours. I think that's about it?!! I went with cheaper black ones as I didn't want to spend the earth on a set.

Me too on my Octy 2. The only thing to mention is to fit them on a warm day or warm the cills up first with a hairdryer. They don't stick well to cold surfaces.

Mine were black plastic & were 2 parts for each door whereas now I recall someone posting you only get one now for the upper part of the cill.

I hope they aren't selling you the ones they are fitting to my car. Pick my car up from them Monday morning. I'm only driving across the Humber Bridge, are you trekking from B/ham?

We have a caravan at Woodhall Spa so I'll pick them up when I'm next in the area.

Yes - in fact I installed them on my car yesterday. I can highly recommend them. Be careful when installing though. I found the correct position on the sill by holding it down before removing the paper on the tape. Then I marked the correct position with a piece of ordinary masking tape.
