hi guys,

my clutch has started slipping on the VRS fabia, 2005, not a biggie at the moment but isn't going to get any better

i'd like a more sporty feel to the thing so i'm tempted to go SMF rather than dual mass

any recomendations of what clutch to get?

i've already done a search and i'm thinking SACHS, not sure if the car is re-mapped or not but something that would take upto 200hp would be preferable for future mods, oh and not too expensive either! haha

Vr6 clutch is Sachs and also one of the cheapest available.

That's what I'd recommend and I think others will too.

It's fairly inexpensive

Vr6 clutch is for a 5 speed, the vRS is a 6 speed

Will there be mega vibrations with a smf?

Ive recently put a smf in mine. . And its no different vibration wise,the only difference is the chatter when its in neutral with the clutch up. .the pros out weigh the cons in my eyes. . Feels much better to drive.

I got the smf and dual friction clutch kit from cg motorsports. . Give em a ring

I had my cg dual friction on for a couple of months and took it off again.

On inspection its buggered and the chatter was really bad also the car felt flat with it due to the weight of the kit. Its heavier than std.
Engine didnt run right and the noise was bad even when driving. Only time it was quiet was with pedal pressed. No other time.

 

Want to know if I just got a bad one? Where are you located? Ide like a quick go in yours to see if its same. Ive put a std sache kit back on and omg its awesome. Feel, bite and pull now is spot on and no noise. Engine revs freely too. Unlike the cg one this clutch was bang on out the box. Took ages for the cg clutch to stop juddering.
