Damaged Fabia

Featured Replies

Bottom line is I'm a ******* idiot :(

I mounted the kerb in my fabia on a round about. And now my wheel won't rotate correctly, the car sort of bounces. What could it be ?

many things. HTH

Ouch.
Happens to the best of us, hope you wasnt being too enthusiastic with your driving.

Anyhoo a list of things:

You could have buckled one/both your alloys, hence the bouncing and not turning properly.
Check your wishbones, suspension struts/mounts and dampers for cracks or leaks, they will have taken a brunt of the force.

Have a look at your sump and gearbox too to make sure nothing is out of place as they sit low and they might have been hit, look for dents oil leaks around sills. Don't want either running dry.

Your tracking and toe/camber will be to pot as well but thats the least of your troubles right now.

get it up on the ramps or axle stands then have a look around. If your lucks you might just need some new alloys.

Hope its not too bad.
