Any trick needed to remove rear caliper?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I thought I do I a little cleanup at the rear brakes of our 2011 Fabia. During winter there is salt on the streets where I live for about 6 month and from experience that tends to make the rear brake pads stick in the caliper guides (at least on our Octavia it does frequently).

Took a quick look at the Fabia brakes today and noticed that the brake hose above the hub seem short and (I could not see it sufficiently without taking the wheel of) it seems that the cable for the hand brake running under the hub might have to be disconnected.

Is that right and is there somewhere a "how-to"? I did a search but it did not bring up what I needed.

Thanks in advance.
