shark v awesome cr vrs map

Featured Replies

Why should I go to one rather then the other? Pros and cons of both please.

I'm not really sure why people ask questions like this, as I very much doubt whether many people have had both to compare

All you will get are loaded answers from those who have had one or the other

For me, I'm in the Shark camp, and very happy with it............no idea about Awesome

People might know alot about both and give there opinion, they also might have driven both, had friends who have used both, there are alot of reasons why people might recommend one over there other.

And so begins another remap war thread

Just my opinion  :)

Ive had multiple REVO, celtic, superchips and Jabba remaps and the Shark software gives the most without any downsides. I did start to discuss various upgrades with Awesome back in the early part of last year but didnt appreciate their sales techniques of slatting the competition. Shark have never done that, they simply have no need to and its something I take a dim view of personally. Spend more time selling your services and less slatting the competition and you'll surely make more money and end up with a better rep. Shark are just nice people to deal with and nothing seems like to much bother. They'd rather have a happy customer than worry about the last £ they can squeeze you for.  :)

Cheers for that mate, that's the kind of reply I was looking for.

I'm one of the people that has only used one map so can't compare to others - that said I really loved the Superchips Blufin and it was a really smooth power boost (and gave better economy on my petrol vRS). What swung it for me at the time was both the easyness of the Blufin handheld to swap around the map afterwards the map if wanted, the price (cheaper than Revo or Shark at the time, still is I think) and the fact they had been around since the 70s and are an official partner with VW Racing.

I know soneone who's had a bluefin map done on his focus diesel and is very happy with it. Again he was impressed with how easy it'll be to go back to stock if he chooses to do so.

My shark map is like having a normal car round town, perhaps slightly more pick up from low down.  Pootling around behind tractors and duffers, it is smooth and surprisingly economical if I have to follow them far on our narrow roads.  When sightlines permit, wap the pedal and womph - I'm gone.  (on a PD btw).

No idea about the other.
