My nearside mirror does not clear as quick as the offside mirror.

 

Is there just a heating element attached to the mirror, or is a new mirror required.?

 

And if a new mirror is required there appear to be quite a variety? Could anyone please advise which one I would need.?

Might be worth checking there isn't a high resistance on the connection cables (thinking possible semi-broken loom where the loom passes through from bodywork into the door.

Blimey, where do i start for that. I know one end will be in the mirror housing, the Haynes manual shows that much, but where would the other end be.? I think mine only come on when I use the rear screen heater.?
