Have you got bits missing ?

Featured Replies

I've just read the online owners handbook for UK Rapid.

And I have not got a switch on the B pillar to open the boot electrically.

And I have not got a key hole and lock barrel in the boot lid to the right of the number plate.

I've been robbed !!    Or is the handbook a fairy tale ?   Or what ?

got the top spec here, confirmed not having both of those mentioned.

The manual covers all markets and all available items so not everything in it will be on your car.

I couldnt find the key hole for the boot lid either, niether outside or the one inside (in case of emergencies I guess).

Why would the boot need a key hole? I haven't seen that on any cars since the 90s! The remote release isn't really needed either as you can open the boot using the handle. No recent VAG cars have either of these things mentioned :)

opening the boot with a key is a fail safe mechanism I would have thought.

Exactly.  So why are they in the handbook then ?  Like I put in my OP.,(Original post)

Answer?  See Gadgetman's post.

The owner's manual is pretty useless to be honest. The only useful bit of information in it is the fuse box layout.

Thecko +1

Couldn't even find what light bulbs I have! figured it out only after searching here in the forum!
