Locking problem Octavia mk 1

Hi Guys.

After fixing my drivers side door release cable a few months ago. I repaired this by undoing the bolts that hold the lock in place enough so that I could get the new cable in position. After doing this I found that the door would not open or lock with the key anymore. But locked with the remote and opened so I just couldn't be bothered to fix the lock. just used central locking remote and all was well. But now the central locking doesn't open front door but opens all the others. The interior light works as normal. I now want to fix the lock so that it works with my key and the remote any idea's what is wrong with both issues. I think I must have disconnected something to stop the key opening the lock when repairing the release cable, could it be that simple?
